Nelly Dever

Nelly is a veteran leader, a successful business owner and entrepreneur for 30 years, and the "Chief Stabilizer" for the Pivot Kamloops slate. As the mayoral candidate, she provides the professional leadership and historical perspective necessary to restore a culture of mutual respect and governance excellence at City Hall.

Nelly’s career is marked by putting thoughts into action:
 

• Business Leadership: As a Corporate Consultant (2015 – 2025), she led the major 1200 - 8th Street revitalization project (Cooper Centre).

• Political Action: As a City Councillor (2011 – 2014), she authored the platform and spearheaded the motion and task force to launch the Tranquille/Airport Gateway project.

• Philanthropic Leadership: As the President and CEO of Wings Above Kamloops, she successfully led and completed the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice expansion in 2019.
