A long-time Kamloops resident, Kathrine believes local government works best when residents are heard, respected, and fully informed in the decisions shaping the city.
With over 40 years of labour advocacy experience, she has worked with the Hotel and Restaurant Employees “Unite Here” Union, the Longshoremen Warehouse Union Canada, and the International Steelworkers Union.
Kathrine offers a deep understanding of business accountability to the team, promising that “Silence is not Consent” and that the public will always be at the top of the organizational chart.
Kamloops Volunteer Work: Kamloops Adult Learning Society
Kamloops Citizens United: As a co-organizer, Kathrine led a legal challenge regarding the City’s use of the Alternative Approval Process (AAP) for two major capital projects. While running for council, she will be stepping away from her role with KCU.
Kathrine is dedicated to restoring trust between residents and City Hall through accountability, transparency, respectful leadership, and stronger public involvement in major decisions.
Kathrine advocates for seniors, the working poor, and families trying to get ahead.
