The “Economic Architect”’
 

An economist with over 35 years of experience in economic development and land use assessments. Randy is the slate’s lead voice on Fiscal Responsibility. He has worked for all levels of government, including over 130 municipal, indigenous, provincial, and federal governments across Canada, bringing a “big picture” perspective to the Kamloops budget.
 

Randy is a long-time resident of Kamloops, serving on several boards, advocating for fiscal responsibility and wise spending on City matters.

Randy is dedicated to long-term strategic planning that stabilizes taxes and ensures infrastructure is built sustainably.

  • Kamloops Volunteer Work

    • Past boards include Venture Kamloops Business Care; Thompson Country Community Futures, and Kamloops Kiwanis. Current boards include Aberdeen Neighbourhood Association, Kamloops Voters Society, Kamloops Area Preservation Society, and Kamloops Chamber Policy Committee.
       

  • Provincial Board Work

    • Past boards include Provincial Inland Port Steering Committee, Economic DevelopmentAssociation of British Columbia, and Forum for Research and Extension in Natural Resources (FORREX) socio-community advisory board.
       

  • Regional Experience

    • Socio-economic assessments associated with Highland Valley Copper, Kamloops Land Resource Management Plan, Kamloops Timber Supply Analysis, Economic Development Strategies for Kamloops, Cache Creek, Clinton, Clearwater, and Chase.
