OUR PLEDGE

A COMMITMENT TO THE CITIZENS OF KAMLOOPS (2026–2030)              
                       
As candidates for Mayor and City Council, we recognize that public service is a privilege, not a platform for personal conflict. To restore trust in our local government, we, the undersigned, solemnly pledge to uphold the values if elected on October 17, 2026:
 
1. Professionalism & Decorum First
We commit to conducting ourselves with the highest standards of civility. We will adhere strictly to the Council Code of Conduct Bylaw and the new Provincial conduct legislation, ensuring that debates remain focused on policy, not personalities. 

2. Radical Transparency
We believe that silence is not consent. We pledge to ensure all major financial decisions are communicated clearly and that public input is never suspended to avoid difficult questions. We will champion Accountability, Communication, and Transparency (ACT) in every city department.

3. Disciplined Fiscal Management
We will treat every taxpayer’s dollar as a sacred trust. We commit to a line-by-line review of the City budget and will prioritize core services—safety, infrastructure, and community wellbeing. 

4. Results-Driven Community Safety
We will stop the cycle of costly investigations and redirect those resources toward working with the RCMP and provincial partners. Our goal is a measurable reduction in street-level disorder.

5. Collaboration Without Conformity
We are a team of independent thinkers, not a voting bloc. We pledge to maintain our independent perspectives while working collaboratively to ensure the Mayor’s office and Council function as a unified, productive body for the benefit of allcitizens.
